Jal Mahal

Rajasthan, literally means the “Land of Kings”, is a northern Indian state. It is the largest Indian state by area. The state borders with 5 states of India, namely Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab & shares its western boundary with neighboring country Pakistan.


Ranthambore National Park

Rajasthan is home to 3 national Tiger reserves, namely Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur, Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar and Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve in Kota.

Jawai Bandh

Jawai Bandh is a dam in Rajasthan built across the Jawai River in Pali district near Sumerpur town. Jawai Bandh is a dwelling for leopards, birds, hyena, white fox, sloth bear, jungle cat, nilgai, crocodiles, and other animals. The Jawai River is a tributary of the Luni River and Jawa Bandh is the largest dam of western Rajasthan providing water to Jodhpur and other nearby areas. The inhabitants near the dam belong to the famous Rabari tribe of Rajasthan. This place is visited by nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. 

The Jawai region has granite hills which were used to construct Devgiri Temple and Kambeshwar Mahadev Temple in the area.

Keoladeo National Park

The state also hosts a World Heritage Site in form of bird sanctuary at Keoladeo National Park of Bharatpur.
