Kerala is a state in the South Western Malabar Coast of India. Kerala is the 21st largest Indian state by area, bordered by Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Kerala is one of the most prominent tourist destinations of India, with backwaters, hill stations, beaches, Ayurvedic tourism.
Birds Of Thattekad
Constituted during 1983, Dr. Salim Ali, the world famous ornithologist, is directly responsible for the wonders on display at the Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary. This is the first bird sanctuary in Kerala which covers an area of 25 sq. km. Thattekad literally means flat forest located between the branches of Kerala’s longest rivers, the Periyar River.
