Namibia

Namibia is a country in the Southern part of Africa, sharing boundaries with Zambia, Angola, Botswana & South Africa. Its capital and largest city is Windhoek. The name of the country is derived from the Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world. The name NAMIB origin and means “vast place”. To the south there is the vast Namib-Naufluft National Park famous for its red sand dunes.

To the west of the Windhoek is a cosy quant town called Swakopmund/Walvis Bay. Surrounded by the Namib desert on three side and the cold Atlantic waters to the west. Due to the location one usually experiences thick fog for most of year. The Skeleton coast on the north west is littered with more than a thousand ship wrecks due to thick fog. The coast is also home to the famous desert lions.

A north-central part of Namibia also known as Damaraland, which is inhibited by the Himba tribes. Damaraland is home for the famous desert elephants.

To the north & west of Windhoek lies the famous Etosha National Park, which spans an area of roughly 22,000 sq. kms. The park is home to hundreds of spices of birds, reptiles & birds including the black rhinoceros.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. It is bordered by South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique and Namibia. The country is mostly savannah.

Victoria Falls is one of the world’s biggest and most spectacular waterfalls which is part of the Zamebezi river.
